Is Acer Aspire S7-392 worth buying The upgraded ultrabook of Acer,  Aspire S7-392 is grabbing attention of all. Lets check if it is a worth deal! It is a thin and light, multi touch screen ultrabook. Though numbers of touchscreen ultrabooks are available in the market, this one is compact. It is very comfortable to hold. New CPU, improved keyboard and longer battery life are the key features of this 13 inch Aspire S7-392 ultrabook. Its maximum battery runtime is 8 hours. Acer has modified the cooling system, to overcome the fan noise issue reported  in S7-391. Specification Acer Aspire S7-392 features Aspire S7-392 has Haswell architecture based Intel’s i7-4500U dual core processor with 1.8 GHz speed with 8 GB of RAM. The ultrabook is made of Gorilla glass. Due to larger battery, it is thicker than S7-391. It has a full HD touch display with high resolution, i.e. 2560X1440 pixels. Keyboard is much better than S7-391 and S7-191. Keys are flat and causing less noise while typing. The touch pad is wide and works well for windows 8 gestures. S7-392 has a standard HDMI port instead of macro  HDMI port and it also has a mini display port. It has one adapter which can be connected via display port and offers other ports – USB 2.0, fast Ethernet and VGA out. Cooling system Noise issue related to fan is found in S7-391. It is good that Acer realized this and refined the cooling system. Replaced the fan with a new one  with fewer blades. So that it will operate quietly. Though it is able to run the games with low quality settings, it is not recommended to use as a gaming machine, due to its integrated Intel graphics. Performance  It is cool in idle condition, but the temperature rises under load. Write and read speeds are good. It is very quick in launching apps and switching between different apps. Battery life of S7-392 is much better than previous S7 models. Conclusion The Acer Aspire S7-392 is upgraded version of S7-391, where drawbacks like system noise and battery life is improved. Its display is not as bright as S7-391. If you are looking for a notebook which has great performance, excellent design and portability, good battery life, then the Acer Aspire S7-392 offers you all that. The  Keyboard is improved a little bit from its predecessor S7-391. Its display offers 10 point multi touch support with wide viewing angles and plenty of brightness. Because of all these things, It is a worth ultrabook. Fan noise is also no longer noticeable. The Only thing is that it is very expensive. For doing daily tasks, it has sufficient performance. But it is not designed for video editing and video games. If you are more interested in gaming, then you need to look into other options. Under load, previous model is cool as compared to S7-392. Furthermore, audio quality does not match the visuals.
