Can HTC One M8 version succeed where version one failed

HTC has been considered to be an under performer from quite few years. It was highly considered as a great Smartphone player at some point of time. Failing to launch any good phones in last few years, HTC has completely ignored the expectations of low, mid and premium segment consumers. Though HTC has launched few premium segment smart phones in few years, yet none of them have become renowned. After the failure of HTC One in the retail segment, HTC has recently come up with its successor HTC One M8. The drastic failure of HTC One has been a great learning and eye opener for HTC. They realized the expectations of the masses from a Smartphone.  Let us understand, whether HTC One M8 would succeed in overcoming the failure of HTC One or not.

Revisions in HTC One M8:

1. Look and Appeal: By replacing the white and black plastic body of HTC one to a metallic and steel solid body in HTC One M8, HTC has indeed transitioned to a great extent. However, HTC one was far appealing than HTC One M8. With respect to the dimensions, the measurements have not changed to a great extent. HTC One M8 measures 146.4 x 70.6 x 9.4 mm and weighs at 160 grams. Replacing the body to a metallic one, the body weight has drastically increased. 2. Display: The display of HTC One M8 is very much similar to that of HTC One. There is a minute difference of screen size. HTC One M8 has increased the size to 5 inches. With Super LCD 3 capacitive touch screen, the screen has been upgraded with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 with HTC Sense UI v6. 3. Memory Card: Where there was no slot for a memory card in HTC One, the HTC One M8 has made an additional entry of MicroSD card slot which can equip card upto 128 GB. An internal memory of 16 GB as well as 32 GB is available in different smart phone versions. However, HTC One has 32 GB and 64 GB internal memory support which has been downgraded in HTC one M8. The RAM is the same at 2GB. 4. Camera: Despite of being highly priced, HTC One M8 has not done any justice with the camera feature. With just introducing 2 dual primary cameras, HTC One M8 has not added any special feature. At 4 MP, the Smartphone is not efficient enough to click high quality and efficient images. Also the secondary camera of 5 MP does not bring any special impact. 5. Operating System: HTC One M8 has managed to introduce the latest OS from the Android family 4.4.2 Kit Kat for an all together new user experience. HTC One runs on Android Jelly Bean which could also be upgraded to Kit Kat version. The processor has been drastically increased. This is quite positive for smooth operation of phone.
