micromax_funbook_p280_tabletMicromax, Indian Smartphone manufacturer has launched it’s entry level android tablet “The Funbook P280” priced at $75 (INR 4,650) for Indian customers and it has become a tough competitor in entry-level tablet segment. For this price you won’t get attractive features that are available in high-end tablets. The only competition for P280 would be Data wind’s Ubislate better known as Aakash tablet in India. For this price it is worth buying! This funbook P280 has a 7 inch capacitive screen with TFT WVGA (800×400 pixel) and runs an android 4.2.2 Jellybean. It is powered by a cortex A8 processor with clocking speed of 1 GHz with 512mb RAM to help things run better. It also has 0.3MP front camera for video calling and no rear camera, it is a bit disappointment. It packed with a 4 GB internal storage and expandable storage up to 32 GB with microSD card. It has a single USB port for connectivity and Wi-Fi and no Bluetooth, 3G and GPS because of the price tag. A 2400 mah battery powers this tablet and it relatively small battery for a tablet! But Micromax claims it has good battery backup. Its stand by time is 250 hrs, but there is no information on continuous usage time. Micromax Funbook P280 comes preloaded with apps like spuul, opera mini, kingsoft office etc. Just like their canvas smart phones! According to Micromax the Funbook P280 is targeted for the customers who are looking for entertainment on mobile devices. Quick Specifications:
