Jelly Bean version- still at the top!

Latest statistics related to the Android version of Google reveals relative devices number that is running on Android’s different versions and reflects that the usage of Jelly Bean is still increasing. On the other hand, Gingerbread is there which is limping along but expected to get lost into forgetfulness. Currently, on 63% devices run on Android, Android 4.x that is 4.0, 4.1 and 4.2 runs. On the other hand, Android 4.1 and 4.2 (Jellybean itself) run on 40.5% devices. For the very first time, Android 4.1 had gained predominance through its Android version and also the very first time when Gingerbread failed to gain the top slot since it gained the position of most active version being used. With this the uninterrupted and unchallenged reign of Gingerbread came to an end, though, it will stay importance for some 9-12 months. With the onset of the year 2013, Gingerbread was being used less than 50% Android devices connected to the servers of Google. On 10% devices, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean was seen. With time, the position of Gingerbread started slipping away as it was clawed by Android 4.1 slowly and gradually. As the month of July came to an end, Gingerbread superseded Android 2.3.3-2.3.7 becoming the leading version that is active. As far as other versions are concerned, on 6.5% devices, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean runs. As, the collation of these figures is done from devices visiting Google Play Store in last 14 days of July, appearance of Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is the statistics has not been seen. A significant presence is still enjoyed by Android 4.0 as it is running on 22.5% devices. Android 3.2 Honeycomb and Android 1.6 Donut are no longer in use, and as such they are not visible in the statistics. With 1.2% and 2.5%, Android 2.1 and Android 2.2 find some place in the statistics. Early July statistics clearly reflected Jellybean taking the lead and moving ahead from Gingerbread which was crossed a lot of times, still managed to stay stubbornly active. Now, the honor has been claimed by Android 4.1 without any help of Gingerbread but now the time has come to move over and let the leader lead the way. The latest figures of Android have been released by Google and the good news concerning Jelly Bean can be seen reflected in the figures. The statistics clearly indicated that almost 50% handsets are using the software of this search giant. 48.6% is the actual figure but it is indicative enough that Android 4.1 or Jelly Bean is the highly used 36.5% of Android market. The share of Android 4.0 aka Ice cream Sandwich dropped to 20.6 percent. The final results clearly show Jelly Bean as the winner.
