Build up strength with robotic arm What is a robotic arm? Can you actually build and increase strength while performing mechanical functions with a robotic arm? These are questions that have been present on the lips of prominent technology experts and scientists ever since this path breaking innovation was introduced to the world. How does this work? The robotic arms can be best described as a mechanical arm on the lines of the average human arm which is designed a little differently. This arm can always be programmed to emulate the functions of the human arm. There are various manipulator links which are entwined by joints. These facilitate both translational and rotational movements and displacements. These links form a chain and the terminus of the same is known as the end effector.   • SCARA robot: This is used for applying sealants, machine tools and their handling, assembly based operations and pick and place operations
  • Cartesian robot: From pick and place work to sealant application to assembly operation activities to even taking care of machine tools, this robot does it all literally. It also specializes in arc welding
  • Anthropomorphic robot: this resembles a human hand identically including the thumbs and fingers and performs similar functions
  • Parallel robot: this robot makes use of flight simulators found in cockpits through a mobile platform
The robotic arm is mostly used for manufacturing as it builds up additional strength and power to perform tasks otherwise hazardous and unthinkable for an average human arm. There are seven segments made of metal in any robotic arm. These are conjoined by a total of six joints. The robotic arm is programmed and controlled by computers which always keep step motors linked to each individual joint moving and rotating as per the need arises.
